What does your organisation do?
Elliot Hall Medical is a GP practice that was involved in the deployment of volunteers in the local vaccination centre and again for the booster programme later in 2021.
What were your challenges before approaching RotaCentral?
Getting volunteers booked into shifts at the vaccination centre was just too laborious. Before, it took my wife and me seven hours to do just two days of rotas – not sustainable at all. Then the back room team of our vaccination centre then moved into action, sourcing RotaCentral to manage the rotas and it transformed our approach. RotaCentral is brilliant if you run rotas for anything!
What Rotas do you use RotaCentral for?
We used it to run the volunteers at the vaccination centres. We then used it for the booster vaccines and also for vaccinators.
How many administrators use RotaCentral?
We have between 4-6 administrators using RotaCentral depending on the rota.
How many volunteers do you have using the system?
We have approximately 200 volunteers using the system.
What difference has RotaCentral made to your organisation?
RotaCentral has been really helpful in allowing volunteers to select their own shifts meant as admin we didn’t need to chase volunteers, doesn’t need a log in for the users and allows those less technical to still volunteer easily. It was also really helpful to be able to see at a glance who was booked into shifts.
Would you recommend RotaCentral to other organisations?
Definitely, it’s very user friendly and volunteer friendly and there was very helpful support when we needed it.
How has RotaCentral supported you in helping to achieve your goals?
We used RotaCentral to co-ordinate volunteers for our local vaccination centre. We simply would not have been able to run these sessions as effectively without RotaCentral and were very grateful for all the support received from the team.
